Special Performance Features

12 compression channel technology

The introduction of multi-channel hearing aids has vastly improved the quality and audibility of the sound users hear, especially when compared with single channel ‘filters’ that simply amplify the overall sound. Now A&M P12 hearing aids feature 12 compression channel technology that further improves on this to provide even higher resolution sound and more precise control.

Directional iLock

In Directional iLock, A&M combines the best out of two worlds. First there is the automatic and adaptive directional microphone which is secondly complemented by a directional noise reduction system.

XPhone

XPhone is an upgrade for acoustic telephone calls (non-Bluetooth®) in a special hearing program. The telephone signal is streamed wirelessly using AudioExchange from the hearing aid against which the telephone is held to the opposite hearing aid so that the telephone call can be heard simultaneously in both ears. As a result, the hearing system wearer can more easily understand the person he or she is speaking to on the telephone.

Sound Locator

With hearing aids, it is often challenging to detect where a sound generates from as the sound waves no longer pass the outer ear. With the Sound Locator function, which imitates the properties of the human ear, the hearing environment becomes clearer. Low frequencies are processed omni-directionally, high frequencies with a slight directional effect.

Voice Ranger

The Voice Ranger makes sure that the target speaker sounds louder while maintaining the distant voices in the back for an easier listening experience.

First Fit 48 Channels

A&M hearing aids will calculate gain during First Fit in 48 channels. With this the hearing aids will provide more accurate intensity in relation with the hearing thresholds.

Feedback Preventer

Wearers of A&M hearing instruments are able to enjoy a more comfortable listening experience with reduced occurrence of feedback. The fast feedback preventer helps to avoid annoying whistling in the ears.
